Network exists to connect like-minded people who have a passion for serving their local communities in Greater Manchester and the North West. For many years Network has been developing fresh ideas that have inspired prayer and unity and we still passionately believe that we can achieve more together for the welfare of the city than we can on our own.

Network was established in Greater Manchester in 1975 as part of the Evangelical Alliance. Since then Network has been connecting people, projects and local church communities in the belief that we can acheive more together for the extension of God’s Kingdom than we can on our own. We want to encourage churches to work together regionally, assist organisations to reach people and develop their work and encourage individuals to release their creative energy for the benefit of the community.

Prayer and a passion for unity focused around mission has been our hallmark.

Over the years Network has been at the forefront of many prayer initiatives in the city, bringing together Christians both locally and regionally to pray for each other and for our local communities.

Network has also provided a context in which new initiatives focused around mission can be encouraged, resourced and released. Please see our Annual Report for more details.

We want to encourage and stimulate friendship across Greater Manchester – not just for the sake of it, but for the purpose of serving God’s Kingdom. Our heart is to serve The Body of Christ here in Greater Manchester and where necessary to facilitate and promote new initiatives that are also passionate to that end. As the Evangelical Alliance in Greater Manchester, we also contribute to national discussions and support national initiatives such as BIBLEFRESH, FORUM for CHANGE and MICAH CHALLENGE. We facilitate regional launches to make sure the broader church has access to all the resources it needs to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to Greater Manchester and the surrounding region.
